It is 7:18 pm PST on October 7, 2008. A miracle has occurred. John McCain gave Barack Obama a little credit in the debate tonight and said “I agree with Barack”. It didn’t happen once in the first debate. I am amazed. He “reached across the aisle” during the debate. I feel better now.
You have to wonder if McCain and Obama even like each other. They are both twisting the other’s words in ways that just aren’t fair. I don’t think I could do that to someone I like.
What did we learn tonight?
Both men like to talk a lot. It doesn’t seem that either has come in under their time limit on any question. Heck, they couldn’t even answer a yes/no question with a yes or no. Though to be fair, it really shouldn’t have been a yes/no question.
John McCain does seem to have a bit more of a sense of humor than Barack Obama. Every once in awhile McCain would crack a joke, not so much with Obama.
Everyone is McCain’s friend or hero, especially Joe Lieberman. Every time McCain pointed to his bipartisan allies, he would point to Lieberman. It seemed that all the questions that were asked are good questions. McCain probably needs to vary his responses a little. Just a thought.
But, most of all, we learned that they don’t agree on many things. Now we have to figure out which one of these men we agree with the most.
Though, one thing we can agree on is going to 104inc.com. It’s a place that will give you answers straight and to the point -- unlike most politicians.
