Barack Obama Automotives? (BOA)

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/sMduo)

Who would have thought that the president of the United States would be backing your automobile warranty? Need work done on your car? Get Uncle Sam to do the work! Tired of automotive CEO's making too much money? Barack Obama can take control and fire the no good CEO's. Are there too many car dealerships in your area? Barack Obama will come in and cull out the weak one and make things right. Who would believe this scenario ten years ago?

Car dealers from around the nation will be in Washington Wednesday to urge President Obama's automotive task force to let the economics, not the government, decide which car dealers should shut down, and when. Maybe that would work under Bush and the capitalistic program but America is now under new management- including the automotive industry. Socialism is now the driving force in American automotive.

In fact, Obama just may move General Motors to China. Can he do that?  :-)

General Motors is open to considering moving its headquarters from Detroit, selling off U.S. plants and even renegotiating parts of its restructuring plan with its major union, the new chief executive said Monday. Why did he say that? He works for Barack Obama Automotive International.

In fact, a task force has been pushing General Motors to trim its dealer ranks faster than the several years originally planned as part of its overall restructuring. Speeding up that process will only dump 180,000 more workers onto unemployment rolls in a recession, the dealer group argues. John McEleney, president of the National Automobile Dealers Association, says he understands that fewer dealerships are needed. But since dealers are independent business owners and get little financial support from the automaker, he argues, they aren't adding to GM's financial problems.

Who cares? We're under new management! And BOA has a filibuster proof Senate baby!

GM, which is operating on $15.4 billion in U.S. loans, now plans to cut 2,600 of its 6,200 U.S. dealers in 18 months. In its original plan released in February, GM said it would cut 400 dealers a year until 2012. The administration said that was not fast enough.  And the administration is going to get what it wants......for another year or so.  :-)
