Marcellas Reynolds not Returning to House Calls

(My Original Blog Post: http://ping.fm/X2tnf)

Marcellas Reynolds, former Big Brother housemate and co-host for House Calls: The Big Brother Talk Show said last week that he will no longer be going back on a daily basis to the said show.

In 2006, Reynolds left the live internet show to join former stars of Big Brother in the seventh season of the reality series appropriately titled Big Brother: All-Stars. On the 46th day in the house, he was evicted and was the first to be placed on the jury. Subsequently, he entered the "sequester" house and was the only one to vote for Erika Landin (who eventually placed second) on the season finale.

Reynolds explained the reason for his departure in the forum found on his website. It read, "Alas it is time to make a statement. Due to budget cuts @ CBS Interactive, a format change & my increasingly busy TV and fashion career, I will not be returning as day to day host of House Calls."

He added that he is very proud to have been with the show, as he was not only the show's co-host, but also its producer as well.

House Calls was launched during the fifth season of Big Brother and provided an in-depth look at the events that took place in the house. It also served as a channel for fans to call in, get information and interact with representatives of the show. While Reynolds returned to Big Brother for its All Star installment, co-host Gretchen Massey was accompanied by different guest co-hosts every week. This time, however, Reynold's departure sees Massey doing a solo-hosting gig for House Calls.

Reynolds' first entrace to the Big Brother house was in 2002, in the show's third season. He was in the reality competition for 69 days, but could have stayed longer if he used his Golden Power of Veto. He decided against it as his housemate Danielle Reyes told him she wouldn't vote against him. However, Reyes did and moreover, Jason Guy cast his tie-breaking vote, thus Reynolds became the 8th person to be evicted in Big Brother's third season.
