Discussion on House Edge in Casino Gambling

(My Original Blog Post: http://www.addicting-flash-game.com/discussion-on-house-edge-in-casino-gambling)

Online gambling is pure fun, simply exciting and many shed tears of joy even buckets when they make their first winnings over the online site. For those who have never tried online gambling, maybe this topic might not be that familiar with you. House edges are a must for all casinos. For those sites that do not have house edges, I don't think that much of them simply because only reputable and bigger ones dare to do things and run the game the regular way. I find them more trustworthy and I dare to gamble on their site.

Everyone, in fact all persons gamble with the intention of winning. However, the issue of house edges in casinos mean that all casinos have an edge over its players. Whether online or in mortar and brick casinos, house edges make it the fact that players lose more to the casino management when played for the long term. The odds are in the favouor of the casino. Gambling is never fair.

Although gambling is never fair, there are people that win and win all in one day. Many make at least a few hundreds when they are lucky. House edges are to help casinos always stay function and clean and honest. So, it's alright in my opinion. Every organisation has an edge over their members, am I right? Yes, I think so. So it is okay.

In analysing all the various types of online games, the edge in every game is different. There is always an unique trait in every form of game. You just have to know where to look for it.

Although Blackjack is the most fair of all casino games, one must still learn card counting to stand a higher chance of winning. It is fair because both dealer and player are having the same odds. House edge comes in where the dealer places his cards face up with other remaining hidden from player. Then the player is uncertain what card lies beneath so this affects his judgement.

It's the same with poker. Not knowing what cards the dealer has denotes the casino having an edge over all players.

In roulette, house edge can be calculated easily. Using 100, representing 100%, divide by 37 representing each number on the board, giving you 2.7 or 27%. This means the chances of the white ball landing on the single numbers in the board. You only have 27% chance to win. When the ball lands on '0', this means dealer wins all the money. This is the hosue edge for casinos over players. In American roulette, there are '0' and '00', so an even greater a house edge.

Therefore, be wise. Think before you bet and remember the house edge! Then in this way, will you truly enjoy! Don't bet with a blind eye and watch out for the person next to you.
